Love by Mel Connell

Hello once again.

Thank you for dropping in to check out my latest creation using the fabulous Couture Creations products.

This time around I have used the Vintage Rose Garden paper collection (still crushing on this, it's just stunning!), One of the sets from the newly released Frames and Frill collections and a few dies form the Everyday Essentials Collection.

All three of these create a gorgeous soft frilly romantic feel.

I have used several sheets of the Vintage Rose Garden 12 x 12 sheets of paper. Cutting some of the floral elements out to use as embellishment, and cutting from other sheets some of the elements using the dies from both collections.

I have cut around 7 of the Script love word from the Everyday Essentials collections and glued them all on top of each other to create a thicker 3D effect with the word.
I have cut apart the Edith Border to use the small Butterflies individually around my layout.

Sprinkle around a bunch of Gems, I have used the Vintage Gold colour, adding them to the centres of the printed flowers on the Vintage Rose Garden paper and also to the centre of the small dies cut flower from the Anastasia set of dies.

"Friendship isn't a big thing" - Mel Connell

Hello again everyone.
So glad you could once again stop by and have a little look see at what I have been creating with the Couture Creations products.

I recently needed to make a card to thank someone for their support over the last few months. I took the opportunity to use the brand new release dies from the Frames and Fill collection.
I love all four of the sets in this collection and they will be staples for years to come.

Really who doesn't love a doily? Am I right?

I settled on using the very sweet Elissa Set.
Start out by creating a card base in card stock, choose a colour that matches your favourite sheet from the Vintage Rose Garden 6 x 6 paper pad.

Die cut the doily from plain card stock, and then the inner circle die from another coordinating sheet from the 6 x 6 Vintage Rose Garden pad. The inner circle dies gives a slight pinked zigzag edge which is lovely or you can distress the edges as I have.

Give the doily a couple of coats of embossing enamel. I've gone with an antique gold to match the gorgeous green of the paper.
Stamp a message on the inner circle and layer the together with the new Couture Creations Glue pen. It's really big and you can cover a lot of area fast.
Trim down your main pattern paper piece and centre in the middle of your card front.
layer all these elements up on your card front with a few pretty flowers.

Don't forget to add a little surprise o the inside of your card. I love to put little elements inside also.

I have used the flower spray die from the Elissa set and covered with a few layers of embossing enamel again. Adhere this to the back of one of the word sentiments from the ephemera sheet in the 6 x 6 paper pad, and mounted this inside on some foam tape.

It's just a little something extra when they open the card to read your message.
